Finding Thier Way Home

Here I will introduce you to my TEN cats. Lets start with the matriarch of the bunch:

Fancy is fourteen years old. She was born under a dumpster by a sewing factory. When she was about five weeks old she was trying to get a piece of bread that had been thrown out by the workers during a flash flood thunder storm. My son in law (at the time) saw her being attcked by the grown ferel cats while trying to get this food. He ran into the storm and chase her down. After feeding her and bathing her he brought her to me. He gave her, her name after the song Fancy (Reba's Version, His Favorite) She is my beloved companion and boss of the house..

Molly
Molly is the nine(9)  yr. old grandaughter of fancy. She is an American Shortale. She is an avid nature lover and will spend all day in a tree or bush. She is very attached to her mommy (me) and jealous of sharing. She is very opinionated and will pout for days if she gets mad.

Salem
Salem is seven (7)yrs. old and is a Tiffany. I found her at a compacting dumpster when she was about four weeks old. She could barely make any sound and at first was mistook to be a toy, in a large box my hubby was digging through. My hubby insisted that it was a toy train and after a few minutes of persuasion, I convinced him it was something else. He turned the truck around and shown his lights on the recycling dumpster and there she was .Starved , cold and sick. She was taken to the vet and quickly recovered. Two years later a dog attacked her and broke her front leg. After four months of casts, braces and bandages and lots of pain.We decided to just let her be and keep her confined (since we did not have $1800 for surgery) in a small room. She seemed to be happier when people were not messing with her leg and it appeared not to cause her pain when left alone. The leg mended but was crooked. She seems not to have a problem with it and can run down a rabbit. Alls well that ends well.

Pan
Pan is six (6) yrs. old. He is a full blooded Russion Blue I am told by my vet.I found him at the same dumpster I found Salem at. He was bloody and was wandering around people trying to love on thier leg. People kept kicking him away. I burst into tears like a lunatic and wrapped him up in a towel I had in my van. The lady and her husband I was riding took turns holding him until I got home. I immediately washed him off with clean wash rags to see where he was hur,t then I fed him. He was so skinny his ribs poked out. The bleeding was from his behind so I immediate thought he may have been kicked really hard or hit by a car. I called the vet who told me to bring him in right away. Turns out Pan had gone without food so long that the worms he was infested with began to eat his intestines. After several weeks of medications for intestinal infections and cleaning him like he was an infant he got better. He is a healthy, fiesty bully that thinks he can rule the roost (Fancy says No!) Thank Goodness He Survived!

Jazzy
Jazzy is named after Jazzy Jeff, The Fresh Prince of Belair. He is about 4 1/2 yrs old. He is the black Tailess, Half Manx in the picture with Pan.He was the property of a couple who was on drugs. When he was about five or six weeks old he showed up in our yard. Since it was getting dark I brought him in and put him a large ferret cage I had in my kitchen floor. I had just found homes for a litter of kittens and still had the cage in the kitchen with food, water and litter. The next day a young woman came looking for him and I gave him to her. The next night as we got ready to shut everything off, I stood up and jokingly yelled "All Cats Inside For Bed" . since at that time I had eighteen (18) cats, fourteen (14) ready for adoption.
To our surprise this little no tail cat came through the front door and crawled into the cage, I still had not moved, and just made himself at home. The next day when I returned him home I was told by the young girl that they had no power, water or food and I could have the kitten. I thanked her and invited her to come to my house where I gave them food. Jazzy was home.

Annabel
Annabel is two years old. She is the daughter of Jezzebel and Tom on my "In Memory Of"  page. Her sisters Gypsy and Savannah were adopted and I kept Anna because she has allergies. Animals with dissorders do not fair well in adoption societies so she is hme, here with us.

FootsyCat
FootsyCat or Princess Kitty of Auburn (her registered name) is a Hemingway Polydactyl Mitten cat. She has six(6) toes on each of her four feet for a total of 24 toes. very rare even for a Poly. She is two years old and came to live with us when she disowned her family. After several attempts by her owners to keep her home she was given to me. She would not even allow her previouse family to pet her. She is very loving to us and gave us four new poly's that will be sold in June. The funds from the kitten sales will fund the shots for all the cats.

More to be added.
